    Hi,
Is there a way to get my posts from a self hosted wordpress site displayed on WordPress.com Reader feed? I’ve read it is possible using Jetpack paid version. Is it sure that if I buy jetpack paid version, I’ll get my posts from self hosted wordpress site show for searching through tags and in the Discover section of the Reader for people to visit?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

As far as I can see, no. Reader only handles sites on wordpress.com.

It’s weird. My own WordPress self-hosted site does show up in my WordPress.com reader and I do not use the paid version. I suggest you ask in the Jetpack sub-forum.

@sterndata – Thank you for the reply. Well, I will move back to wordpress.com just because of this reason.

@jdembowski – yeah they appear if you follow your own site from wordpress.com. It can also be seen by your subscribers. But, when someone tag search or topic search for new posts your posts won’t show up. I am thinking of moving back to wordpress.com just because of this reason.

Reader can read any site that has an RSS feed.

Go to https://wordpress.com/following/manage and put in the URL of the site.

    Hi Samuel
I have the same problem … I put my site’s url under the link you provided, but still when I search the WordPress.com reader as if for new sites to follow – and even if I do a search using the exact title of my blogpost, the wordpress.com reader does not show my post.

How do I get my posts on a my self-hosted site and created on WordPress.org to appear on the WordPress.com reader where others can discover my posts when they search for new sites to follow?

    Thank you
    Fritz

@fritzloest, if you need support then per the forum welcome please create your own new forum post. Thanks.

@fritzloest I don’t think you can make it so that posts are discoverable through their system, because their system is only searching WordPress.com blogs.

However, the reader is a personal listing of feeds, and you can put your own site into that reader manually.
