Is it possible to show different posts in different sidebar widgets?

    Hi,
    I’m creating a dummy wordpress site before I take it live (I need to figure out all the tweaks before I do it for real), the site is

    What I’d like to be able to do is to have to different post updating widgets in the sidebar. At the moment I have only one which show’s the latest posts, but what I’d really like is one which shows updates from category i.e. recent news articles I write, and the other showing new cars I’ve added to the site.
    Does my request make any sense?

    I’ve had a look at loads of the various widgets and plugins, but can’t see anything which will do what I need, can someone point me in the right direction?

    Right, don’t worry, I’ve figured it out, well, when I say figured it out what I really mean is I’ve figured out the correct question to ask google.

    So, if you’re having the same issue, go to the plugins section of the admin console and search for a plugin called ‘Category Posts Widget’, then, once it’s downloaded, installed and you’ve activated it, go to appearance (in the admin console), widgets and hey presto there’s a new wdiget!!
    Drag it over to the sidebar on the right and configure it by telling it which category it should show.
    Then, drag a new one over to the sidebar and select another category..
    Amazing!!
