    Hello,

Before my most recent theme update, I made sure to back up my site in case there was an issue with the way the website looked. And there was, so I restored to the backup version.

However I backed up the site on Saturday and restored the backup today (Monday). the time between me backing up the site and restoring the backup, I had published several posts. Since I restored the backup, all those posts have been deleted, and the posts that were set as drafts have also been deleted. This was hours and hours of work. Is there any possible way I can get those back?

    Please let me know asap.

    Hi Erik,

Restoring a backup will restore the site to its state at the moment the backup was taken. Did you take a backup of your work done before you restored the earlier backup? If so, then you can restore that backup, use WordPress’s “import/export” facility to export the posts, then restore your preferred backup, and import the posts.

    Hi,

I’m afraid it is not possible to re-do a restoration. The only way to restore it is if you have a database backup before your last restoration attempt.

    Best Wishes,
