Support » Plugin: Podcast Importer SecondLine » Is it possible to import the tags from spreaker.com into the tags of WordPress

Currently I am importing and large number of podcast Channels into the site. Most of the episodes are imported from spreaker.com. In Spreaker the episodes all have special tags. I would like the tags to be pulled into WordPress and added to the tag section of the podcast episode post. Can we turn this feature on or how would I code this myself or can you code this? Just need to know where to start. Speaker has released an api reference guide for developers – not sure if this helps.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @alphabdesign,

    Thanks for reaching out again!

Can you share an actual example of those tags?
Are those also in the RSS feed or only on your Spreaker account/site?

    Hello there,

Below is a link to one of the channels with episodes that do have tags.

Here is the RSS feed as well. https://www.spreaker.com/show/4238412/episodes/feed

    Hi @alphabdesign,

Could you please provide an example for such a tag in the feed?
Not sure I can see anything on the Spreaker page.

Please click on any of the episodes within the spreaker page. Once you click on the episode you’ll see the episode page. Within that page on the bottom you’ll see a time or date as to when it was posted be side that you will see a series of hashtags#. These are the tags I would like to have imported into the episode when they come over into WordPress. Here is a direct link for your records.

Oh yeah I see what you mean.
This is represented in the feed in the <itunes:keywords> tags.
Currently we don’t import those, but you can customize the plugin to support it.

As far as I know, this tag was deprecated by Apple, but some platforms still use it.

Will consider adding this in the future if we see that there’s more demand for it.
