Is it possible to have different pagination?

I was wondering if it was possible to customize the pagination of the galleries. I know you can set the pagination in the options, but it changes the whole site. Sometimes I like to show a lot of thumbnails of one gallery and just a few of another one.
Is there shortcode to do this?
