Is it possible to edit/customise wp-comments-post.php

  • Hi

i’m literally just about to launch a site for a client and someone has pointed out that the above page isn’t styled as per the site. Is it possible to do so rather than having the default wordpress styled error page?

    Thanks

Are you talking about the comments list or the comment forum? Both can be altered & styled via your theme.

There’s a page which appears on my site when the comments form hasn’t been filled in.

It has the message, “Error: please fill in the required fields”

There’s not a file called ‘wp-comments-post.php’ in my theme, can i just create a page named that and upload to the server?

As far as I am aware, there is currently no hook or function you can use in a theme that will allow you to customise the comment error page.
