is it possible to do a detailed search?

    Hi, I hope that I am not asking for the impossible here!

    On this website you can see that the visitor can do a detailed search with little drop down menus.

    Is there a way to add that to WordPress too?

    I have been staring at the code for a while and I think it is done with a javascript called datasource-min.js. More info on that particular script I have found on Yahoo: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/datasource/.

    Apart from changing some simple data in javascripts, I don’t have any experience building something with it.

    Anybody can help or point me in the right direction?

    Try looking for an advanced or enhanced search plugin.

    thanks for your suggestion! unfortunately that didn’t help me any further, as the one or two plugins that come close to the example I gave in my original question (this website) have not been updated since August last year…

    Any other suggestions?

    Quite a few websites have these, i think it depends on the e-commerce/web platform a website uses. I understand there are a few plug ins that you can use. Maybe asking people with good search facilities what they use might help?

    The best one ive seen is also a site selling Light bulbs and fluorescent tubes!

    Maybe its just something in that industry!
