Is It Possible To Delete And Reinstall Google XML Sitemap plugin?

    I am having a problem with my site map because I installed it at the same time as I installed All In One SEO plug in. I then decided to switch to WordPress SEO by Yoast The homepage is not listed on the sitemap… but oddly google is picking up copy from the photos I have displayed instead of the information I entered in the Yoast SEO. I have to find a way to add my homepage and do a google fetch through Google Webmaster tools for the homepage …OR Start All Over. Should I delete the sitemap and reinstall it and then re-summit to Google Webmaster Tools? Please help. Thank You!

    Please help! I did a google fetch for the homepage and summitted the index. I deleted the text from the images in my media library. Google is still not picking up the meta description I have on Yoast SEO… it continua to pick up the old text from the photos on the homepage. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    I am using WordPress 3.9.1
    WordPress SEO by Yoast 4.0.5
