Is it possible & good to use w3 total cache only for combining external js?

    Hi!

    As I cannot find this functionality in other plugins, is it possible & good to use w3 total cache only for combining external js?

    This would be used in combination with other optimization plugins.

    Or is there some other way that you recommend doing it?

    Hello @vonsa

    Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to answer this.
    W3 Total Cache and any other plugin by that matter cannot deal with the external resources.
    If enabled in settings – it can grab some external script.
    This being said, If using Auto minify, you can Include external files/libraries: in Performance>Minify>Advanced>Include external files/libraries: and add the specific external files to combine.
    You can also try using Manual minify and add the js files manually and in order. This may also help with making fewer HTTP requests.
    Once again, this is not guaranteed as W3 Total Cache cannot reach external servers but MAY grab some external scripts.
