Hi, I”m doing this blog for a client, at http://www.runjeeta.com/dg and when you click on the permalink for the post, the page it takes you to is ignoring my css guidlines for how i want my margins. If you take a look and click the link its obvious. So please…How do I fix this? or is it ok to not have permalinks, because I dont think my client needs them since I am going to disable commenting once I find the right code to delete. The following is the php code for this:
<?php get_header(); ?>
<?php if (have_posts()) : ?>
<?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
-<?php the_ID(); ?>
<a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>">
<?php the_title(); ?></a>
Well, if you do jobs for clients… first do your homework; for example learn about the specifics of the default template from which you are working. Learn about the difference between the template files that display the main page and a single post.
Hi, This is my first time using wordpress. I realize now that the single.php page controls single posts…but still, can i delete the permalink tag or is that nessicary for the blog to fuction? You didn’t really answer that part….. ~Becky01.
