Support » Fixing WordPress » is it necessary to deregister jquery UI?

  • I created a custom download of jquery UI that I planned to insert into the template header using a child template containing a functions.php file.
However, as I’m learning how to do this it appears that all the jquery UI elements are already part of WordPress, albeit not enqueued.
If I register my custom download of jquery UI and use it in the template is there likely to be any conflict with the jquery UI that is part of the WordPress software?
Is there a need to deregister all of the jquery UI elements – seems like a horrendous task.
    I’m using the twentyten template.

    Thanks.
