Is it mandatory to have page of posts ?

  • I have homepage set as static page.

    My few posts are accessible from the sidebar navigation menu.

    I have a separate static page of posts but I guess it can be deleted ? Before I mess something up, I rather ask you guys what do you think.

    The reason why I want to delete that static page with posts is that I think it could lead me into troubles with duplicate content. Anyway all my readers access the posts from navigation menu never from static page.

    there is no need to have a ‘posts page’;

    you can delete that page, and remove the corresponding entry from dashboard – settings – reading

    Since you are not creating content with the intent on deception, you should not have any trouble with duplicate content.

    You may even indicate to Google what your preferred URL is.
