Is it a mailing list?

    Hi Xnau,

    This plug-in looks like it does some stuff that’s exactly what I’m looking for but I’m just wondering if it functions as an email list so we can actually send mailouts directly from the website. It doesn’t mention that function but I just thought I’d ask in case that’s just one of the little side benefits of having such a multi-functional database.

    If not, is it likely to be something that will work with another plug-in that does do that?

    The plugin doesn’t send mass emails. It could be used with a newsletter plugin, but it’s not ideal for the purpose because it doesn’t provide a mechanism for opting out or a double opt-in which is a legal requirement in many areas.

    Ah, that’s a consideration.

    Thanks for that info. Good work on the plugin, by the way. The reviews and everything I’ve checked out so far is very positive 🙂
