• is it best to have the installation in the same language as the content?

for example: for a spanish site can i install wp in english and only have the content is spanish?
    will it hurt SEO?
can i tell google the site is in Spanish despite the english backend?
    tnx

  • By default, WordPress uses the same language for the backend and the frontend (defined by the variable WP_LANG in the file wp-config.php. However some plugins allow to change the admin language (WP native Dashboard for example) without changing the frontend language.
