List of the problems with WordPress 3.6 and FeedWordPress:

I have testing official version 2013.0504 and github version 2013.0525 with PHP 5.4.16 and MySQL 5.5.32

1 - The issue discuss here This problem is also generated with WordPress 3.5.2 - 3.4.2 - 3.3.3 and older ...

2 - Impossible assing default category for all syndicated feeds or single category for all single syndicated feed: if new category is added or is flagged default uncategorized category the choice was not saved. the result is that all posts was syndicated without category!

3 - UTC and Local Time delay on syndicated posts: somes posts was publisched with any time that is the difference from UTC and Local Time setting on WordPress. For example: source post was publisched on 06.00 am syndicated posts was publisched on 03:00 am or 09:00 am ... the situation not change if you set your local time to default UTC or UTC+3 or equivalent real Local Time or syndicabled feed Local Time.

Thanks for the info. After upgrading to WordPress 3.6, FeedWordPress has actually caused our server to crash! I'm not sure if anyone else is having this kind of problem - I'm not seeing anything similar in the other support posts.

I have had to disable the plugin while I complete my WordPress 3.6 testing, and will revisit once I'm done.

    A bit of additional info...

After the upgrade to WP 3.6, FeedWordPress started giving us errors. It seems that its trying to access database tables that don't exist - we use a custom prefix on our tables.

A previous update to FeedWordPress claims to have fixed any problems with custom prefixes on tables, but something in the WordPress 3.6 upgrade seems to have brought out more problems on this front.

I hope this info is useful. Not sure if others are having the same problem.

after upgrading to WP 3.6 i am getting duplicate posts on all my feeds.

Occurs even after I unsubscribed to the feeds and set it up again.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I have checked, double checked and changed my settings every which way I think might fix the issue...with no luck.

Best Upgrade Procedure for "minimizing" FeedWordPress issues, errors and problems, on WordPress 3.6

Upgrade WordPress to 3.6 with FeedWordPress plugin installed:

1 - Flushing cache and after disable caching plugin (W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache etc ...)
2 - Flushing hosted opcode caching (APC, XCACHE, MEMCACHED, etc...) and after disable it
3 - Waiting for total caching flushing (based on your settings 1 hour, 2 hours etc ...)
4 - Disable FeedWordPress Plugin (disable only after all type of cache is flushing and disabled)
5 - If your version of FeedWordPress is older or outdated upgrade it to latest version availabe
6 - Upgrade FeedWordPress directly from DashBoard (never copy new version via ftp!)
7 - Do not reactivate FeedWordPress after upgrade
8 - Upgrade WordPress to version 3.6 and after adjust new settings if is needed
9 - Reactivate FeedWordPress and adjust new settings if is needed
10 - Reconfirm all custom FeedWordPress settings (resave all) this force activation of new features, deleting old discontinued features and settings, refreshing database data ...
11 - Reconfirm all your aggregated feed sources (resave all) this force activation of new rss features and updating ...
12 - Reactivate hosting opcode caching (APC, XCACHE, MEMCACHE etc ...)
13 - Reactivate caching plugin (W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache etc ...)
14 - Execute SQL database table repair and optimization

Best pratices for minimizing possible issues, errors and problems:

    1 - Never caching database!
2 - Caching only on disk (never on opcode) disk basic is best choice
3 - Caching odjects and transients on opcode is availabe with third part extension and not with integrated features in caching plugin
4 - Disable internal and integrated WordPress SimplePie caching module!
