# Is developer.wordpress.org Up-to-Date?

 * I’ve been re-educating myself on the nuts and bolts of WP development, as I’ve
   been primarily in others CMS platforms for various clients. I was reading through
   developer.wordpress.com and came across this page:
 * [Site Architecture (v1.5) – Advanced Administration Handbook](https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/wordpress/site-architecture/)
 * It talks about WP architecture 1.5. The publish date is 2023 with an update to
   the page in 2024. I don’t remember there being a separate architecture version,
   so it initially looked like documentation from 10 years ago.
 * I wanted to double check with the community to see if these were still relevant
   and the appropriate docs to study before investing the better part of a day getting
   reacquainted with them.

 * The fundemental architecture is the same at that level, but in reality you will
   be better off studying the Block Editor, Themes and Plugins sections are they
   are more relevant to building and support sites today.
