Is data going from updraftplus backup to google drive encrypted?
For example if i take a backup in a public WiFi can that data be snooped on?

UpdraftPlus creates backup archives and stores to the remote storage as per your configuration set (In your case GoogleDrive).

The backup archive files are sent safe/secure to remote storage, so even if you send the backup sets to remote storage using Public WIFI the data cannot be be snooped.

    Thanks,

@bornforphp @adityagunturu The key point is that Google Drive *only* accepts https connections. There is no non-encrypted transport even possible. Hence, yes, data is sent over encrypted transport.
