• Hi,

This plugin is exactly what I need but I am apparently not tech savvy enough to get it working. Is anyone successfully using this plugin to have MailChimp connect to a custom RSS feed from The Events Calendar Pro and automatically email a weekly list of upcoming events? I would gladly pay someone to help me get this set up.

    Thanks,

    Russ

Hi… the big thing you need to know about this plugin is that it only does half the job — the rest has to happen in MailChimp.

I wrote a blog post describing how the plugin came together (most of which you can skip, because it’s in the plugin itself), and then talking about what you need to do within MailChimp to use the extra data this adds to the RSS feed.

Skip down to the heading Put it in MailChimp!

The blog post is 5 years old and a lot of the MailChimp interface has changed since it was written, but the way they handle inserting dynamic data values into the campaign is still the same.

You’ll also want to check MailChimp’s documentation on how to set up a campaign that uses an RSS feed:

If this isn’t quite enough to go on, let me know. I am available for hire to do custom development, although to be honest, I haven’t looked at this particular code in a while so I may need to brush up on it first.

Thank you! I’ll dig in a little more and see how far I can get.
