 * The latest wp-smush plugin update just broke my site. Control panel and frontend.
 * And it is not the first time they push a problematic update.
 * Nice plugin but not worth the stress and the trouble due to the unchecked updates.

 * [@ranishachar](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ranishachar/), All the updates
   are tested by our team in here at WPMU DEV before we go for any release.
 * I’m really sorry but with the large number of installations, all with different
   configurations, it’s tough to test compatibility with other plugins.
 * Can you please open a support thread with details of the issue? so that we can
   avoid any further damage to other users, if there is any conflict/issue.
 * It’ll be really helpful of you.
 * Thanks,
    Umesh Kumar

 * [@ranishachar](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ranishachar/), We’ve a plugin
   update for WP Smush, 2.4.1
 * It fixes a conflict with Pluggable function `sanitize_hex_color()`.
 * Mostly the update should fix the issue for you if you are using a customiser
   or a front end editing theme.
 * I’d really appreciate if you could possibly test the latest release to check
   if it fixes the issue you were facing.
 * If you’re still facing any issues even after 2.4.1, It’d be helpful of you to
   create a support thread with details on issue ( Anything in log or network console)
   that can help us figure out the cause.
 * Hope to hear from you soon.
 * Cheers

 * Hi Umesh,
    Thank you for the fast response. In order to fix the site I have removed
   the plugin from the cpanel.
 * As I see that you are really taking responsibility over matters here I will try
   changing the poor review to a better one.
 * Cheers,
    Rani

 * Yeah that’d have been the quickest possible way to get out of the issue, would
   be nice to have you back.

 * Thanks a ton for considering that.
 * Cheers
