 * Hello there,
 * We recently got an email from Paypal about our IPN URL falling, the email state:
 * Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN).
   IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:
 * [https://www.website.com/wc-api/WC_Gateway_PPEC/](https://www.website.com/wc-api/WC_Gateway_PPEC/)
 * If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is
   using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above
   information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.
 * Please advise,
 * Thank you.

 * Hi [@gentlemako](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gentlemako/),
 * The mentioned IPN endpoint was only used by the previous PayPal Checkout Gateway
   plugin and can be disregarded/deleted if you no longer use the old PayPal Checkout
   integration: [https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-stop-receiving-instant-payment-notifications-(ipns)-faq426](https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-stop-receiving-instant-payment-notifications-(ipns)-faq426)
 * PayPal Payments does not use PayPal IPN but instead transmits events via webhooks.
   This works similar to IPN but better and so you don’t need to enter a specific
   URL anywhere as everything is automatically configured by the plugin.
    The webhook
   registration happens automatically when connecting your account with the onboarding
   wizard. There is also the “Webhooks Status” page in the plugin settings to provide
   an interface for managing the webhook registration.
 * If you encounter any issues with the communication to PayPal (e.g. order status
   not changing), then we recommend clicking the “Resubscribe” button and after
   the site reloaded, “Simulate” to verify that the webhooks are received.
    So there
   is no need to worry about PayPal IPN anymore when using PayPal Payments as the
   new integration uses the latest PayPal JavaScript SDK and REST API integration.
 * I hope that makes it more clear. Don’t hesitate to let us know if any questions
   remain.
    Thanks!
 * Kind regards,
    Niklas
