# iPhone text problem

 * I got a complaint today from a reader of a newsletter that the word “confidence”
   is showing up as “confieence” when viewed in iPhone. I tried a few ways to clean
   it up, including pasting it as plain text. I tested it on my iPhone and found
   the same thing on the Safari web browser, which is what the reader has been using.
   I told her that the word would be removed from the website, and I would contact
   WordPress.org to report it. I also said that I would ask that it be fixed on 
   iPhone/Safari and for it to be checked out and fixed, if needed, on the Android
   phone.

 * That sounds very interesting. Have you already removed the word? I’d like to 
   see it on your page. I tried adding the word _confidence_ to one of my test pages
   and it looks correct on my iPhone/Safari.

 * Yes, it was removed from the article. I wonder if you’re working from a different
   operating system. I’m using a new Lenovo Thinkpad on Windows 7, and working from
   Google Chrome.

 * What theme are you using? Can you make another test page with “confidence” and
   post the link?

 * It looks like the theme is customized – it was called “ainfall2011” Version 1.0.
   It shows a screen background image with a gray checkerboard look.

 * It looks like some sort of problem with the mobile version of the theme. When
   I look at the site on my iPhone, I see the misspelling, but when I click the 
   link for the Desktop view, the spelling is OK. Are you using a plugin for the
   mobile version?
