• Hi, I customized the css to create a bit different responsive design. It works great on Android but for some reason Iphone ignores all the new CSS.

I made a child theme and a new style.css where I wrote all the new codes.

I tried changing meta tag viewport and media queries but it doesn’t help. I cannot find the solution for this problem

    Hi, sorry, it is mybodyartist.de

It looks OK on my iPhone5, it looks the same as if I make the desktop browser narrow. Which rule exactly is not being executed properly?

I know one isn’t supposed to hop into a thread, but I’m having what may be the same problem. First saw it on my iPhone, but realize that it’s on the desktop as well. The site is sailonset.com. It often comes up at first as intended, but once you navigate to another page, it seems to lose all CSS. Thx.

13third, by any chance is your site hosted on Dreamhost? And did this just start happening a couple of days ago?

Yes and yes. Was moved to an SSD.

The reason why I ask is that this user was having the same type of problem (and appears to still have the problem, judging by the way her site behaves).

What seems to be happening is that the first time you visit a site, you get an unaltered version, but once you move to another page, or even navigate back to the home page, the CSS looks screwy. I personally think it has something to do with caching that Dreamhost enabled called Page Speed Optimization. You can see that if you do a view source on a page that looks off, the names of lots of source files get pagespeed as part of the file name, including the style.css file.

I would contact Dreamhost and let them know what’s going on, and if there’s a way of turning off Page Speed Optimization for your site (I added a link to the above referenced post that shows how to turn it off yourself, but I don’t know if the instructions are still valid).

Wow! I turned off Page Speed Optimization (it’s on the Manage Web Hosting page) and we shall see. May not take effect immediately. The SSD is odd and doesn’t seem faster overall. Like there’s a delay and then the page roars in.
It would make sense that CSS is cached, since it doesn’t change. I’ll look around, see how it works tomorrow and let DH know. I had put in a ticket.
    Thx.

Yow! All better! Speed kills! I do like having an SSD for the C:\ drive. Hasn’t been a problem there.
Thanks much for answering my question.
