I try blocking my own IP then using a VPN, but can still access using the blocked ip. WHy is it not blocking? This option is in the **Rate Limiting** section on the **All Options** page. * The default block time is 5 minutes – so you can block an IP and then 5 minutes later it will be unblocked. I’ve blocked hundreds of IP’s with 0 results. Unless it’s a brute force or similar attack the blocked IP addresses are still able to 200 the site. I’ve also blocked them on the GoDaddy hosting server which is also a complete joke since the CIDR blocks never populate and after months of entering IP’s they just aren’t there. Using WordFence may be a mistake and trying to manually block IP’s in the .htaccess returns a 500. I think the real solution is dumping WordPress and all it’s over glorified uselessness. No WordPress, No Problems.
