IP Address Wrong

    Has anyone had a problem of WordPress showing your IP Address incorrectly on Google Analytics? It’s always been correct for me, however, about three weeks ago it started showing my IP Address as incorrect. I’ve called my internet provider & Google Analytics and things are fine on there end.

    Have checked your IP address by going to this http://whatismyipaddress.com/ see if is same

    Yep sure did and it shows correctly. Very frustrating now know what’s wrong though.

    What IP address are you referring to? I.e. Visitor IP address? Google Analytics does not report that.

    Also, typically WordPress has got nothing to do with reporting the IP address. Google Analytics simply get the IP address by making a request themselves from a script you put on your website.

    I think I figured out what the issue is. After going through so many other channels it has to be my internet provider. Thanks fro trying to help everyone.
