# invoice number missing

 * Hello Ewout!
    For a new web project I am using your useful plugin in addition
   to woocommerce + woocommerce subscriptions ([http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/](http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/))
   Everything is working fine, the system status of your plugin is ok. the only 
   issue is that the invoice number is missing in the invoice for a subscription
   product, but is present in the invoice for a simple product. could you please
   provide me a support, if possible?without the invoice number the site cannot 
   go live, and i would like to avoid to use another plugin.. 🙁 Many thanks in 
   advance!!

    The invoice number is only created when an invoice is created!

    Yes, the invoices are created and sent to me (the 
   site admin), because I am testing the ecommerce engine by purchasing some test
   products (with paypal sandbox).but when I open the invoice for a single product
   I can find the invoice number; I cannot find it in the invoice for a new subscription
   product.this is the problem..I can show you the PDF files if you need.

   the renewal billing process 🙂

 * It turns out this problem was related to the third party[Italian Add-On](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-italian-add-on).
   If an order is set to receipt instead of invoice, the invoice number gets deleted.
   Otherwise, an invoice number will always be assigned.
