Invoice notes on pdf

    Hi,

    I noticed that the field in wp dashboard, in the order edit page, called Notes (printed in the invoice) is not displayed in dashboard before the order (and invoice) is created.

    Is any way to display it when you manually add an order, before the order is created?

    Or I just have to use some other custom field and then make the necessary changes to the invoice template, to replace the current invoice notes.

    Could you explain in more details what you’re trying to achieve? You want to replace every existing order note?

    I am not referring to the right hand side order notes, which can be unlimited as number. I am referring to the notes printed on invoice *please see attachment.

    Hey @sisleystudio,

    I’m afraid I still don’t understand what you’re trying to achieve exactly, however as mentioned: Our plugin requires an order to exist first in order to create PDFs from it. 🙂
    This means the field will not appear until you create the order, as you mentioned.

    I am using that Notes field just to insert some basic text on each invoice like “According to contract #444”

    Ok. I understand that this note cannot be added before the pdf has already been created. The point is that the Notes printed on invoice field is not displayed in dashboard before pdf is created. So when you want to manually add an order, I don’t see the field from the attachment.

    @sisleystudio actually you can, just click the pencil icon and add the note text before saving the order.

    Hi @alexmigf

    I’ve already done that, as you can see the text ‘test’ in the notes in the previous attachment.

    What I was referring to is that you cannot edit or have those Notes displayed there before the order is created. So when you first create an order, you don’t have the option to edit any Notes (printed in the invoice).

    Is that correct?

    @sisleystudio before the order no because they are saved in the order meta data.
