Invitation link is not placed in Email field

    Hi @per4mance. Is this issue reported anywhere else? I’m wondering how/whether I missed it.

    Can you share a bit more detail about the email address? At a glance, it appears that the problem might be related to character encoding, which may be due to the fact that the email address contains unusual characters. Is the email address using Latin characters, or is it a different character set (Cyrillic, etc)? Are there diacritics (like an umlaut) in the address?

    Is it possible to share the text of the invitation link that is sent to the user? This problem could be taking place at the time that the email address is encoded (ie, when the email is built) or when it’s decoded (when the web page is rendered), but it’s hard to guess in isolation.     Hi @boonebgorges,

    thank you for your response. I have this issue since BP version 2.5.x

    Use WP v4.2.4 and BP v2.5.2 German versions.

    The Email I used was info@socialmedialernen.com – after sending the invitation link I got the following Email http://www.screencast.com/t/0x8gogwbTuVR

    When the users clicks on it he gets http://www.screencast.com/t/C4b805OOd6C (with CLIQZ brwoser)

    or http://www.screencast.com/t/IDlzfYAly (Safari browser)

    or http://www.screencast.com/t/fMIhVYLbB (Opera browser)

    or http://www.screencast.com/t/8Z8BGWgs6I (MSEdge/IE brwoser)

    All browsers use the German language.

    Thanks for sharing the screenshots, @per4mance. I’m not able to reproduce this behavior on my test installation. It appears that something is causing characters to be improperly encoded, but it’s not clear to me what that might be.

    What theme are you running? Are you running any plugins that modify the registration process?
