91 pieces of media have gone “invisible”–the placeholders are intact, as well as the info attached such as file name, url, uploaded to location, etc. but the alt text is also gone. The site can’t read them.

When I try to reload a file I get this message:
Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2016/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

I don’t know what that means. I’m not a developer, just a user.

My posts from the last three months are affected by this, as well as the home page (and my header logo).

    Please help!!
    Thanks,
    Christina

If you do not have access to your server directly to change permissions (or the knowledge to do so), then you will need to speak to whoever hosts your site.

Thanks Neil! I just logged back on to my site, and it has cured itself…so to speak. At least I know where to turn now if it happens again.

    Best,
