 * Is there a much simpler way to update inventory? To change the “In Stock” option
   when something is out of stock in quick edit, then click the “Manage Stock” box
   both in quick edit and the product backend AND the “Stock Status” in the variations
   is very redundant.

   You should be able to edit stock levels more easily in the spreadsheet-like product
   listing page. There are limitations with the free version but its usable to try
   out.
