inventory on cancelled orders

I have virtual products…. tickets. that represent a tangible item, capacity. so correct inventory is critical.

I know that woocommerce used to not re-stock cancelled orders. But it is my understanding that inventory will be re-stocked now on refunds.

does woocommerce restock inventory on cancelled orders now?
or should i use https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-auto-restore-stock/
