We plan on donating products with each purchase. Was hoping there was some sort of plugin to help manage the inventory to be donated, but have been unsuccessful. Any suggestions?

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

plugin to help manage the inventory to be donated

You can definitely do this using the plugin, Chained Products. Chained products will allow you to keep inventory on the “donated” product as well.

Documentation can be found here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/chained-products/

Here is a great post explaining how it works:

Thanks! going to check it out. The trick is tracking products donated not during purchase phase. Like when hitting goals, a certain number gets donated to a NPO entity.

If the products are being donated so there’s no order in WooCommerce you can adjust the inventory manually for that specific product.

If you need an order to account for the inventory reduction, you can create a manual order: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/#section-7

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
