# invalid username

 * i try to login to the admin area and i get an invalid username message. i know
   it’s the right username, and it’s already in the username field when i get to
   the admin area. how can it be wrong when it’s already in the username field. 
   also i wrote it down, so i know it’s right. what the heck is going on?

 * Check your wp_user table with [phpMyAdmin](http://codex.wordpress.org/phpMyAdmin)
   to make user you do have the correct login.
