# Invalid IP return

 * Hi,
 * there is an error regarding the security checks, an error appears, i’ve search
   for it and landed on this knowledge base,

 * but i’ve reached out with my hosting provider, they need an API IP to check with
   their backend if ithemes ip has been blocked, can someone from ithemes security
   give the IP address to unblock it from my hosting provider?

 * This means your host is likely blocking loopback requests. iThemes Security doesn’t
   use loopback requests, but it makes the check to identify the loopback IP so 
   Trusted Devices doesn’t block it. If loopbacks aren’t working on the site iThemes
   Security will still work fine because nothing will be able to successfully make
   a loopback request.

 * Hi matt thanks for the reply, but im working with a client so i dont want any
   issues going on, thats why I really need the IP address of ithemes that they 
   are using to send this to my hosting provider.

 * The plugin does not have an IP address. Can you please reach out to your host
   to see if they support loopbacks?
