'Invalid email address' error on Zerif Lite

    Hi,
    I have the same issue as others – running Zerif Lite theme and when contact form is completed by someone, it will not deliver me the mail.

    I’ve read the threads dealing with the issue:

    I have downloaded and configured Postman SMTP. The test email from there to gmail worked fine but when I test the contact form, I get an invalid email address error. Email is on Siteground and set to server no.25.

    Anyone know how to fix? Many thanks in advance

    You didn’t post your exact message, found in the Postman Email Log. Assuming your error is:

    Invalid e-mail address: /a>

    Then I think your issue is the same as another known problem in Zerif Lite.

    You can fix it by ticking the box “Prevent plugins from modifying this field” in Postman > Configure Manually > Message > Message From Address > Email Address.

    Or you can also fix it in the Zerif code itself.

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for your reply. I tried out the fix you suggested with settings but the error is still there & messages are still not getting through.

    The exact error in the log is:

    Invalid e-mail address: p

    Any ideas on how to fix?

    This means one of the email addresses in Zerif is invalid. Can I see your Zerif settings? Also you should try posting in their own forum.

    I just checked and the set up for the email on the footer (clickable link on sales@you-niq.com) seems to be carrying over to this contact us.

    The code for the footer contact is

    sales@You-niq.com<p>

    the details on the failed Postman emails from the contact us page are

    Postman settings are:

    Outgoing mail server host name (from Siteground): mail.you-niq.com
    it needed a username & password so username is
    sales@you-niq.com

    The ‘Envelope from’ and ‘Message from’ are both sales@you-niq.com

    I also just ran a diagnostic test and this was the outcome:
