    Hi
I’ve been using your plugin for ages – & it’s great thank you – but suddenly I’m getting an error on google search console:-

Sitemap can be read, but has errors
    Invalid date 1 instance
An invalid date was found. Please fix the date or formatting before resubmitting.
    Examples
    Line 4413
    Parent tag:url
    Tag:lastmod

I’m not sure where this is or how to fix it – please can you help?
Many thanks in advance for any assistance

    Hi @casket21,

I checked your XML Sitemap and you are facing this problem because the last 3 URLs in your sitemap do not have a “last updated” date.

Could you please check and let me know if you’ve manually added these URLs?

If not, can you please check the “wp_aioseo_terms” table in your database and let me know if you see the correct date there?

    Hi @casket21,

We haven’t heard back from you in a couple of days. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!

Hi Sorry for the late reply.
No I did not add these urls manually. I can see from the sitemap that one of them has a date 1970 and the bottom 2, as you say, have no date. I don’t know how to access the database or how to add/change a date for these?
All advice very welcome – thanks in advance

    Hi @casket21,

I have raised an internal issue to add a fallback method in such cases.

Meanwhile, I can tell you that the date comes from the last modified Post attached to that term.

So you’ll need to check what was the last Post you modified related to that tag. You can then make some changes to that Post and update it, which should resolve the issue.

You can also use this filter to exclude that term –
