    Invalid Breadcrumb structure detected with Semrush

    While running a site audit on our site, I’ve received many errors from Semrush stating that the breadcrumb structure avec invalid.

    Inspecting the breadcrumb revealed that are missing a “name” field. The exact message is “A value for the item.name or name field is required for a nested ListItem.”.

    I admit that in the Google rich result, they is no error, but when inspecting the Json schema:

    "@type":"BreadcrumbList",
    "@id":"https://www.astralinternet.com/#breadcrumb",
    "itemListElement":[
    {
      "@type":"ListItem",
      "position":1,
      "item":{
        "@id":"https://www.astralinternet.com/#webpage"
      }
    }

    I’m not seeing any name field specified.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    We are aware that some users are being notified of the missing item.name or name field for the breadcrumbs from the SEMrush report.

    We’ve checked with our developers and in-house SEO experts. They can confirm that our Yoast SEO schema.org structured data markup is correct as of v16.2, and there’s no need to make any changes to the schema.

    As you also mentioned, checking the reported URLs on Google’s Rich Results Tool or Structured Data Testing Tool shows no errors or warnings.

    This seems to be a false alert related specifically to how SEMrush or Aref parse the data. We have already reached out to both companies to resolve the issue, but believe that for now, it’s safe to ignore this alert.
