# Invalid API key

 * I get this error when clicking the pay button “Stripe Checkout can’t communicate
   with our payment processor because the API key is invalid.”
    I have checked the
   API key and they are correct. I have rolled the keys and tried new ones but I
   still get the error. I’ve tried double-checking for leading and trailing spaces,
   but no dice.
 * Problem happens for both life and test versions.

 * Have you tested for theme & plugin conflicts?

 * You could also share your system report text file from Simple Pay > System Report
   inside of your WordPress admin area (or copy and paste here).
 * I can only test a transaction if you switch it to test mode or have a staging/
   test site with the same setup switched to test mode.
