# Invalid API key

 * I get this error when clicking the pay button “Stripe Checkout can’t communicate
   with our payment processor because the API key is invalid.”
    I have checked the
   API key and they are correct. I have rolled the keys and tried new ones but I

 * Try switching the test/live mode toggle and re-saving if you only entered test
   OR live keys.
 * Check for extra characters or spaces (though spaces should be trimmed).
 * Other than that it’s tough to say why it’s not working for you.

 * I’m having this same problem. It’s not preceding or trailing spaces. I have no
   idea what it is and would have blamed the plugin if so many people weren’t already
   using it.
