introduction page with featured posts instead of blogroll?

    Hi guys,
    just started building my site and trying to figure out its structure. Not easy 🙂
    For my site, Id like newcomers to land on an intro page with a few selected, “featured” posts instead of my blogroll (on which i might end up blogging about trivial stuff i dont want to be read first).
    I thought about setting up an “intro” static page, on which i would post these “featured” posts from my blog.
    Is there a plugin or creative way to achieve that?
