Internet Explorer vs Mozilla Firefox

    Mmm… Im confused.
    I have a 2 column table structure on my home page, set to 790 pixels wide.
    Then a column of cells on the left is set to 550 pixels wide, and the column on the right is set to 240pixels. (This does not include the left and right sidebars).
    In Internet Explorer 7 and 8, the width of the cells is incorrect – the cells in the column on the left are too narrow. When the page displays in Firefox, it looks as it should and widths seem correct.
    Can anyone shed any light in this please?
