Ok, I’m new to this translation stuff, and I guess I should have included the .pot file with my plugin. For now, I uploaded it to my webserver here: http://www.shanebishop.net/uploads/
I don’t know if you’ve ever done this before, but my understanding is that you just download the file ewww-image-optimizer.pot, do as much translation as you can, and save it as a .po file. Then put it somewhere I can grab it, and then I can create the .mo file for inclusion in the plugin.
The .pot file has the original English text as the ‘msgid’, and you put the Romanian translation between the quotes on the line below that where it says msgstr “”
Feel free to modify the header information at the top with the relevant details as well.
If you have any questions in the meantime, or need clarification on any of the text in the .pot file, let me know, and I’ll do my best to help.
Also found this page, which has some useful tips for translating text also.

Already started. I’ll let you know when it’s done.
When you are done, you can submit the file via http://www.shanebishop.net/contact-me/
Thanks!
Any progress? I have a couple other translations going into the next release, and I’d love to include yours too (it’ll be a few days yet, no rush).

Yes, it’s almost ready. Hopefully today I will finish it.
I’ve got a couple last items due to a new feature I’m adding in 1.7.5.
When you’ve got it finished, add these to the end of the file:
#: ewww-image-optimizer.php:3142
msgid "Automatic Cloudinary upload"
msgstr ""
#: ewww-image-optimizer.php:3142
msgid ""
"When enabled, uploads to the Media Library will be transferred to Cloudinary "
"after optimization. Cloudinary generates resizes, so only the full-size "
"image is uploaded."
msgstr ""
I missed one:
msgid "Cloudinary image"
msgstr ""

All done here. You can close this I think.
