# internal server error – <Write> screen

 * I’m getting this error message – EVERY time I click <Write> from the admin screen.
   All other links work fine. I confess I haven’t posted in several days… but last
   time everything was fine.
 *     ```
       Internal Server Error
       The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
   
       Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@tibbles.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
   
       More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
   
       Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
       ```
   
 * Already uploaded new post-new.php file. Any other suggestions?

 * hey, hey! avatars! cool.
    the solution: new php in our new server requires low
   permissions in all wp files. once post-new.php was changed to 644, instead of
   755, all worked fine.

 * Yup. I didn’t see your original post but,
    Directories > 755 Files > 644
