• I am running 2.0.17.

I get an Internal Server Error whenever I click on the NextGen icon in the TinyMCE interface on the add new post page.

I get the same error message if I go through the Gallery Menu, click overview, and then try to click on a specific Gallery name to view a currently existing gallery.

I also get the error if I click on the Add Gallery/ Images menu item from the Gallery menu.

I have checked the php.ini file and increased memory and checked the other PHP requirments and everything looks okay.

I also checked the that the nextgen gallery plugin as well as the galleries directory are set to 755 permissions.

    Any other ideas?

@bopyd – Have you checked for plugin conflicts? This can be a common reason why you would see this error.

If you cannot find a plugin conflict (or possibly a conflict with your current theme) then we would appreciate you sending in a bug report so we can look at this issue closer. Here is the Bug Report page: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/

Please keep in mind we may need to get log in credentials for your WordPress installation so our support team / developers can look behind the scenes.

    Thanks!

All plugins were disabled and the same error occurs. I will submit a bug report. Thanks for the advice.

I found a solution to this issue.

I upgraded from PHP 5.2 to 5.3 and this resolved the issue.
