  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Hello, first two options didn’t work. I am going to do the third one, but, before, i have a question. Will posts and images be deleted?

No. Your content is stored in your database whilst your media is stored in the wp-content folder.

Ok, thanks, you mean upload all files and folders of fresh download of wordpress 4.4? or 4.3.1?
I think that the problem has to do with super cache, as yesterday, i pressed delete cache and site messed up, just disactivated (but still installed). You recommend i unistall it completely and check again or it is irrelevant?

    4.4

You really need to ask the plugin’s developer about this. Caching plugins are especially difficult to un-install etc.

Internal server error happening even if i try to backup through Ithemes security, so i believe this has to be with the whole messing through super cache. I backed up but the same thing is happening when i activate super cache. I have made a thread to the plugin’s support forum, i whish they are going to explain the solution..
I am afraid that uploading all files of 4.4 will have the same results, and therefore, i won’t be able to access the admin panel or the site is going to go down to visitors. At least now it works..

There is not wp-config.php in the fresh download of wordpress, just wp-cong-sample.php. Is it the same, and i do not upload it?? Plus there is no .htaccess file.

Ok, thank you very much about help, i pressed automatic update after removing cache plugin, it had same error appeared, but now, it says it is updated to 4.4 so i think its over..

The wp-config.php file is on your site. Just leave that file alone.

Plus there is no .htaccess file.

Check that your ftp software is configured to show all files. .htaccess files are often hidden by default.
