Hello, thanks for this plugin! I am using the free version so far. Now I did a backup of a website located under http://mywebsite.com/staging/ to move it to http://mywebsite.com/. So I did a full backup of http://mywebsite.com/staging/ and then restored it (also with Updraft Plus) for the WP installation under http://mywebsite.com/.

Now neither URLs are working, I get a 500 probably because I totally messed up. How can I recover? I tried so many things to fix the paths but when I open http://mywebsite.com/ in my browser it keeps redirecting to http://mywebsite.com/staging/ (also error 500).

Any suggestions please? I don’t have an error log, I tried to get one in several ways but NOPE didn’t work out.

Btw I cannot log into the backend to fix something there.

Hi,

WordPress uses a record of the site URL stored in the database. If this does not match the site’s domain, WordPress will attempt to redirect.

When migrating a site, the stored URL must be updated. With the free version of UpdraftPlus, this has to be done manually.
