# Internal Server Error

 * I was having trouble getting my blog to land on the home page so I sent to the
   settings screen and changed the url blog extensions. Clearly this was a bad thing(
   I’m new to this). Because it came back with:
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
 * Please contact the server administrator, [webmaster@cheminten.msfinescience.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/internal-server-error-65/webmaster@cheminten.msfinescience.com?output_format=md)
   and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
   that may have caused the error.
 * More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
 * Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying 
   to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
 * How do I get back to the original settings?
