I’ve been using this plugin for a while without any issues, but yesterday it suddenly brought down my website with a 500 Internal Server Error. I know it was this plugin because I disabled all plugins on the backend, and re-enabled them one by one. When I re-enable this one, it causes the 500 error again, and it is automatically disabled. Any idea what might be causing it to crash, or tips for how to troubleshoot it? Thanks.

Hmm… there might be something more going on here. When I try to edit a post or page, I also get a 500 error. The Simple Banner plugin is disabled.

I disabled and re-enabled all plugins (except for Simple Banner), and now I don’t get a 500 error when editing a post or page.

And now I’ve re-enabled the Simple Banner plugin, and there is no 500 error. This is weird.

So now I’m getting the same error when enabling Jetpack, so I think my issue is not connected to the Simple Banner plugin specifically. I will mark this issue as resolved for now.

Looks like it might have been a PHP version problem, unrelated to this plugin.

Thanks for the update and glad it wasn’t the plugin’s issue. Let me know if I can be any help otherwise.
