 * Hi there,
 * I installed version 2.7 a couple of months ago and ran an automatic upgrade a
   couple of weeks ago. All fine, no problems until today (I’ve been posting regularly).
   I was adding a new page and when I tried to save it I got the following error:
 * 500 – Internal server error.
    There is a problem with the resource you are looking
   for, and it cannot be displayed.
 * And then the whole site went down – all pages with the same error. I didn’t do
   anything out of the ordinary or change anything in the code so not sure why it
   happened.
 * Also not sure if it’s a problem with WordPress or with my web host (FastHosts).
   Have contacted FastHosts just in case they can help but no indication of how
   long that could take (if they can do anything).
 * I’m considering re-installing wordpress to see if that solves it. Has anyone
   had a similar problem?
 * Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 * This is my site: [http://www.quirkycooking.com](http://www.quirkycooking.com)(
   nothing to see but the error at the moment though) 🙁
 * Thanks

 * If the last “codey” thing you did was 2 weeks ago when you were updating, and
   this “just suddenly happened” today while you were posting something, I’d say
   your host is to blame.
 * If you were doing something other than posting (like messing with your .htaccess
   file) then I’d say that might be the issue. You might also check things out and
   see if you can FTP into your server – if you can’t, that is probably confirmation
   that something’s going on. (Alternatively, if you can, then rename your .htaccess
   file to “htaccessBAK and see if that fixes it)

 * Thanks for the reply.
 * It was an issue with my hosting. My fault really – I’d installed wordpress on
   a windows hosting package, buying a MySQL database on top. It worked fine for
   a couple fo months and then just crashed on me.
 * I was using Fasthosts and had a really bad experience with their customer service
   trying to get it resolved. It took 5 days for them to tell me what the problem
   was (after many many frustrating phonecalls).
    Lost patience in the end and set
   up a new account with Justhost. Seem to be a much better option so far.
