 * I went to check my page to find it missing and an internal server message instead.
   I spoke with godaddy.
 * GODADDY: Please note, that while we do provide a sample of code for a Web.Config
   file, we cannot provide you with specific code that would need to be added to
   your Web.Config file (as you may need to place the directives in specific locations
   along with your existing directives). [Note: Their sample code did not work].
   I suggest using a search engine for assistance on how to enable detailed errors
   on Windows IIS8 in a Web.Config file. Once you have detailed errors enabled you
   should be able to further diagnose what is causing your 500 Internal Server Error.
 * My website [http://www.atp-admin.com](http://www.atp-admin.com).
 * Any suggestions?

 * 1) Avoid using Windows to install WordPress, you should swap to Linux
 * 2) As same they told you, we need to check the error logs on Server, GoDaddy
   should be able to provide it, otherwise, try remove all plugins and change your
   theme. The easist way to debug is disable all plugins and themes and activating
   on by each, checking which plugin/theme is make an error.

 * Hi,
 * I can’t open wordpress I get the same error page- so I can’t try to deactivate
   plugins or change the theme.
 * Godaddy said they can’t help me with the error until I enable detailed errors
   in my web config file. They provided me with example text to add to my web.config
   file but it didn’t work. They said I will have to figure out how to alter my
   web.config file myself.

 * You should be able to access via FTP and check the files there, try re-upload
   your WordPress files, themes and plugins. Also you should remove the plugins
   you don’t know very well. They might have an issue which is pushing your site
   down.
 * Shay, I’m not an IIS expert and I’m not a moderator of the forum either. You
   should create a new post on Forum with the title: How to enable errors in Web.
   config GoDaddy 500 Internal Server Error.
 * Someone who know about Windows IIS would help you. Also, you should put the content
   of your web.config on [https://webconfigtransformationtester.apphb.com/](https://webconfigtransformationtester.apphb.com/)
   and check what’s wrong.
