 * Hi all,
 * Hopefully you guys can be more helpful than my hosting providers. I’ve installed
   wordpress numerous times in the past and now I come back to it, I can’t seem
   to install it as easily on my server. I’ve gone back and forth with my hosting
   for a month now about fixing this issue.
 * Before it was a case of upload the files to the server, aim my browser to the
   installation link then put in my database details. I do that now and get nothing.
   This is the error I get from the log.
 *     ```
       [Mon Nov 17 17:45:31 2008] [error] [client 77.100.246.176] (104)Connection reset by peer: FastCGI: comm with server "/var/www/fcgi/php-cgi" aborted: read failed
       [Mon Nov 17 17:45:31 2008] [error] [client 77.100.246.176] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/var/www/fcgi/php-cgi"
       [Mon Nov 17 17:51:56 2008] [error] [client 77.100.246.176] (104)Connection reset by peer: FastCGI: comm with server "/var/www/fcgi/php-cgi" aborted: read failed
       [Mon Nov 17 17:51:56 2008] [error] [client 77.100.246.176] FastCGI: incomplete headers (0 bytes) received from server "/var/www/fcgi/php-cgi"
       ```
 * Any advice? I’ve followed a lot of the docs from this site about it. I use filezilla
   and I have a mysql database set up and stuff and ugh it’s annoying me now.
 * Thank you for any help on this
 * The thing is, they keep saying everything is fine on their side. They’ve even
   installed WP on my server as a test for themselves. I’ve tried installing WP
   from work thinking it might be my PC. Tried at my sisters place and still no
   go.
 * I’m just stumped.
 * Make sure you are uploading files in ASCII mode when using FTP (or auto mode
   with FileZilla).
 * You are uploading to the correct folder correct. I’ve seen some hosts require
   a specific set of permissions for PHP files so ask your host what permissions
   they used.
 * If necessary have them put the files in place for your install.
